Fledermaus Update 6

Updates!
Scratch built the air-to-air missiles and attached the wing extensions to the Fledermaus...

Closeup on the attachment, I've used brass tubes and found some spare paper clips...
Very pleased with the result myself...
The end-result is that the wing extensions can open...
...and close!
Another shot showing the putted longbow radar and the grills I've added to the wings...

Fledermaus Update 5

Got some time to work on it today:
Sanded the wing extensions, glued the refueling probe and added wires to simulate the fuel lines to the fuel pods on the back of the plane.
I've added 2 additional fuel pods on top instead of bottom to protect it from ground fire.
Took several hours to scratch build the rocket tubes...
Side view showing the epoxy budge I've made for the gatling cannon.
Also a clearer view of the fuel line running from the probe long the body.
Front view, sorry its not very clear, but i hope you can see the additional grills / air intake I've made on the body. Used metal grills held onto the body by plaplate. The model kit surprisingly left this part empty..
the other side (starboard side?) of the fled. I've epoxied the radar to the wing and also super-glued the longbow radar on the back.

Fledermaus Update 4

I've decided to call this Fledermaus Tiger Motte or Tiger Moth in German..
because the shape is really like a moth..
Almost went with Nosferatu : a famous vampyre
Mocked up the Longbow radar which is actually the front wheel of the 1/48 F117.
Note: the orange toy brick is just to hold the wing extension up.. :D
Front view showing the missile tubes. I plan to seal them up.
A shot with the donor kit given by my cousin, its HUGE!

Fledermaus Update 3

Glued the plane together...
Added an ammo drum (yellow color) which is actually the container for used blades of my hobby knife.
Added a 'radar' as suggested by fellow members (black thing opposite side of the ammo drum which is part of my water pump. Added the longbow radar post (grey plastic) on the read of the plane which is the holder for one of the bionicle kits..
The Longbow radar I am debating with myself with using a wheel of the 1/48? scale F117 trashed and given by my cousin...It should look like the Apache's..

Fledermaus Update 2

Some updates: I glued the cockpit and thruster bells together...
Decided on the game plan..
I will add the gatling cannon to the nose of the fledermaus
and extend the wings ( I will try to make them foldable like those modern fighters onboard an aircraft carrier)
Oh, an I am thinking 'Tiger Moth' as the name as I am extending the wings to look like a moth..

Fledermaus for Nadef Competition

My second Ma.K, a Fledermaus! This one I will complete as its for a competition and I am under oath from the person who gave me this kit to finish it.
:)
What I plan to do:

1) Change the 2 machine guns to either an A10 style gatling cannon or turret
2) Add more fuel pods on the top
3) Add thing on top for mid-flight refueling
4) Add Longbow radar
5) extend wings to load bombs/missiles

Here's the picture I've taken of the additional fuel pods I am going to mount.
Maybe trying to use a gatling cannon from the gundam from the Wing series..
The rest are all blu-tacked/taped for dry fitting.
Pardon the poor picture quality as I've used my handphone to take the photo.
